On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 28, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 787 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 733 new recoveries, and 48 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 90,775, while the active cases increased to 13,683 (from 13,674).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 37,396 (+205 new)
– Total recoveries: 31,656 (+217 new)
– Total deaths: 1,158 (+7 new)
– Active cases: 4,582
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 11,824 (+144 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,116 (+146 new)
– Total deaths: 310 (+3 new)
– Active cases: 1,398
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 10,701 (+67 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,463 (+175 new)
– Total deaths: 304 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,934
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 30,854 (+371 new)
– Total recoveries: 23,524 (+195 new)
– Total deaths: 1,561 (+38 new)
– Active cases: 5,769
