On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of October 16, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 75 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 104 new recoveries, and 3 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 103,009, while the active cases increased to 2,508 (from 2,542).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 40,866 (+35 new)
– Total recoveries: 38,555 (+35 new)
– Total deaths: 1,443 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 868
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,531 (+12 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,320 (+21 new)
– Total deaths: 310 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 241
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 12,067 (+10 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,418 (+7 new)
– Total deaths: 412 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 237
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 36,545 (+18 new)
– Total recoveries: 33,037 (+41 new)
– Total deaths: 2,346 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,162
