On Wednesday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 4, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 722 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 362 new recoveries, and 27 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 70,043, while the active cases increased to 9,008 (from 8,666).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 30,832 (+304 new)
– Total recoveries: 26,785 (+267 new)
– Total deaths: 960 (+8 new)
– Active cases: 3,087
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 9,004 (+95 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,493 (+70 new)
– Total deaths: 199 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,312
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 8,505 (+87 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,054 (+25 new)
– Total deaths: 250 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,201
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 21,702 (+236 new)
– Total recoveries: 17,364 (+0 new)
– Total deaths: 930 (+18 new)
– Active cases: 3,408
