On Friday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of September 3, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 708 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 582 new recoveries, and 32 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 93,728, while the active cases increased to 11,516 (from 13,230).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 38,265 (+178 new)
– Total recoveries: 33,256 (+241 new)
– Total deaths: 1,197 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 3,821
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 12,244 (+89 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,675 (+100 new)
– Total deaths: 313 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,256
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 11,083 (+82 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,977 (+50 new)
– Total deaths: 326 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,780
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 32,136 (+359 new)
– Total recoveries: 25,768 (+218 new)
– Total deaths: 1,700 (+25 new)
– Active cases: 4,668
