On Tuesday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 3, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 652 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 348 new recoveries, and 28 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 69,313, while the active cases increased to 8,666 (from 8,389).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 30,525 (+210 new)
– Total recoveries: 26,519 (+163 new)
– Total deaths: 952 (+10 new)
– Active cases: 3,054
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 8,908 (+132 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,423 (+54 new)
– Total deaths: 199 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,286
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 8,417 (+105 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,030 (+23 new)
– Total deaths: 248 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,139
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 21,463 (+205 new)
– Total recoveries: 17,372 (+108 new)
– Total deaths: 904 (+14 new)
– Active cases: 3,187
