On Thursday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of February 25, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 550 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 303 new recoveries, and 6 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 35,127, while the active cases increased to 6,165 (from 5,922).
Cebu’s recovery rate is now at 78.21%.

– Total confirmed: 17,073 (+169 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,293 (+237 new)
– Total deaths: 728 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 3,050
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 4,050 (+130 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,080 (+0 new)
– Total deaths: 120 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 850
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 4,039 (+107 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,019 (+43 new)
– Total deaths: 183 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 837
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 9,965 (+144 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,090 (+23 new)
– Total deaths: 459 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 1,426
