On Friday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of March 12, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 475 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 171 new recoveries, and 6 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 40,579, while the active cases increased to 6,341 (from 6,099).

– Total confirmed: 19,503 (+233 new)
– Total recoveries: 15,998 (+78 new)
– Total deaths: 766 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 2,739
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 4,839 (+76 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,587 (+0 new)
– Total deaths: 126 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,126
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 4,845 (+69 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,556 (+44 new)
– Total deaths: 190 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,099
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 11,392 (+97 new)
– Total recoveries: 9,516 (+49 new)
– Total deaths: 499 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 1,377
