On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of February 20, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 471 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 217 new recoveries, and no new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 32,939, while the active cases surged to 5,499 (from 5,244).
Cebu’s recovery rate is now at 78.87%.

– Total confirmed: 3,795 (+54 new)
– Total recoveries: 2,887 (+1 new)
– Total deaths: 180 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 728
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 9,436 (+110 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,808 (+62 new)
– Total deaths: 443 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,185
