On Monday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 30, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 360 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 626 new recoveries, and 9 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 91,662, while the active cases increased to 13,230 (from 13,499).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 37,682 (+115 new)
– Total recoveries: 32,163 (+252 new)
– Total deaths: 1,165 (+3 new)
– Active cases: 4,354
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 11,971 (+62 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,287 (+94 new)
– Total deaths: 311 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,373
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 10,812 (+44 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,622(+54 new)
– Total deaths: 307 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,883
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 31,0197 (+205 new)
– Total recoveries: 24,011 (+226 new)
– Total deaths: 1,566 (+3 new)
– Active cases: 5,620
