On Sunday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of February 28, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 344 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 374 new recoveries, and 7 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 36,029, while the active cases decreased to 6,045 (from 6,069).
Cebu’s recovery rate is now at 79.05%.

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 17,533 (+200 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,830 (+218 new)
– Total deaths: 729 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 2,974
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 4,169 (+32 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,200 (+41 new)
– Total deaths: 123 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 846
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 4,122 (+33 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,119 (+17 new)
– Total deaths: 185 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 818
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 10,205 (+79 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,332 (+98 new)
– Total deaths: 466 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 1,407
