On Monday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of October 18, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 231 new recoveries, and 7 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 103,083, while the active cases increased to 2,281 (from 2,492).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 40,899 (+9 new)
– Total recoveries: 38,631 (+48 new)
– Total deaths: 1,445 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 823
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,536 (+3 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,341 (+10 new)
– Total deaths: 310 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 225
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 12,076 (+4 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,458 (+20 new)
– Total deaths: 417 (+5 new)
– Active cases: 201
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 36,572 (+11 new)
– Total recoveries: 33,192 (+153 new)
– Total deaths: 2,348 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,032
