On Thursday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of September 22, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 250 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 331 new recoveries, and 23 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 100,358, while the active cases increased to 7,052 (from 7,159).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 40,049 (+84 new)
– Total recoveries: 36,311 (+108 new)
– Total deaths: 1,333 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 2,405
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,170 (+17 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,731 (+41 new)
– Total deaths: 362 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,077
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 11,819 (+38 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,736 (+13 new)
– Total deaths: 357 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 726
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 35,320 (+111 new)
– Total recoveries: 30,349 (+169 new)
– Total deaths: 2,121 (+20 new)
– Active cases: 2,850
