On Friday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of July 16, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 219 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 168 new recoveries, and 7 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 59,369, while the active cases increased to 3,060 (from 3,017).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 26,990 (+85 new)
– Total recoveries: 24,861 (+69 new)
– Total deaths: 891 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,238
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 7,427 (+23 new)
– Total recoveries: 6,747 (+30 new)
– Total deaths: 175 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 505
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 7,286 (+38 new)
– Total recoveries: 6,671 (+9 new)
– Total deaths: 234 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 381
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 17,666 (+73 new)
– Total recoveries: 15,947 (+60 new)
– Total deaths: 783 (+6 new)
– Active cases: 936
