On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of October 2, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 147 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 162 new recoveries, and 43 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 101,739, while the active cases increased to 4,439 (from 4,489).

Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,360 (+16 new)

Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 11,951 (+10 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,102 (+12 new)
– Total deaths: 388 (+9 new)

Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 36,012 (+61 new)
– Total recoveries: 31,740 (+92 new)
– Total deaths: 2,245 (+15 new)
– Active cases: 2,027
