Ayala Mall Central Bloc is set to reopen two of its four cinemas on Dec.1, nearly two years after they were closed due to the mandated quarantine set off by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cinema 1, known for its luxurious reclining seats with USB ports, and the regular Cinema 4 will reopen and will comply with existing health protocols set by the Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF- EID).
Apart from the mandatory wearing of masks, only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed inside the cinemas. Thus, those who wish to watch a movie must present the vaccination card and a valid ID card upon purchase of the tickets and when entering the cinema.
Unvaccinated kids, even if accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians, will not be allowed.
Food and drinks are not allowed inside the cinemas, too.
To observe social distancing, there will only be designated seats to be occupied. Upon entering the cinema, moviegoers will go through standard temperature check, and scanning of Stay Safe QR Code. Sanitizers are also available upon entrance.
After every movie screening, seats will be disinfected. There will be three screenings a day. While schedules may differ everyday, the first screening on Dec.1 will start at 1:00 p.m while the last screening will be at 7:30 p.m.
Movie tickets can be purchased in cash at the cinema ticket booth at Level 5 of the Ayala Mall Central Bloc or through GCash. The cinema ticket price for Cinema 1 is P350 per ticket while for Cinema 4, the ticket price is P260/ticket.
