Ever wanted to learn the sign language? Well, here’s your chance.
Take advantage of being stuck at home and learn this very useful skill as De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde will soon be offering these free lessons on Filipino Sign Language (FSL) through Facebook Live.
This series of online lessons are FREE and will be conducted by the Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies starting on May 30, 2020 at 4PM.
They have also launched a fund-raising campaign #SignForSigns to anyone who is willing and able to help.
The raised funds are intended for:
- Deaf students living allowances who are stranded in their dormitories
- FSL Learning Program faculty who are on no work no pay scheme
- FSL Access Team for COVID-19 who render their services as media interpreters in daily news in major broadcast networks
- Indigent Deaf scholars who need to return to their respective provinces after the Extended Community Quarantine is lifted
