Cebu City placed under ECQ again; others under GCQ

After recording at least 100 COVID-19 cases almost every day since the start of GCQ on June 1, Cebu City has been officially placed back to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) starting on June 16, 2020 until June 30, 2020.

This is based on the recommendation of Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-MEID) during President Duterte’s presscon on updates on community quarantine levels in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, and all other towns and cities under Cebu Province except Talisay City will remain under general community quarantine (GCQ). Talisay City is placed under modified ECQ (MECQ).
