Mt. Manunggal Eco-Adventure: Mountain-top thrills in Balamban

Baguio City in Northern Luzon is famous for its cool climate and breathtakingly beautiful natural sceneries. While it’s sometimes better to create our own identity and not associate certain places to famous attractions elsewhere, we can’t really blame the management or the people behind if they decide to market it that way, most especially if they aim to offer the same feels or experience without the need to fly out from Cebu City.

Setting aside our opinions, this rising attraction deserves the spotlight anyway. Introducing the Baguio de Cebu Eco Mountain Adventures, also known as Mt. Manunggal Eco-Adventure, in Balamban – tagged as the “Little Baguio of Cebu”.

Things you can do at Baguio de Cebu Eco Mountain Adventures:

✓ Sky Bike
✓ Horseback Riding
✓ Camping
✓ Trekking / Mountain Climbing
✓ Food Trip

✓ Zip Lining

How to get there?

Exact location: Brgy. Sunog, Balamban, Cebu — approx. 2.5 hours away from the city. Just about 1.5 kilometers after West 35, right turn to Brgy. Sunog.

BY VAN: Take a v-hire going to Balamban from the Ayala Center Cebu Terminal. Ask the driver to drop you off at the alley of Mt. Manuggal or Cantipla. Fare is P120 per person. 1.5-2 hours travel time.

To be specific, this is located approx. 1.5km km from West 35 if your route is through Lahug-Busay-Transentral Highway. You will see a tarp on the right side of the road saying “BAGUIO DE CEBU ECO PARK” (turn right) and from there it’s almost 2km to the Mountain. The journey going there is an adventure already. You will be passing a thrilling drive of a 3.0m max wide undeveloped road with sometimes a cliff on both sides of the road.

BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and search for “BAGUIO DE CEBU ECO-MOUNTAIN PARK ADVENTURE”. Parking space is available. Hailing a taxi or GrabCar is not possible.

RENT A CAR/VAN: For a hassle-free trip, rent a van at SquadPH Tours and Travels.

  1. Hi! We are planning for camping this weekend.

    1) Is the road going to the interior from highway passable by typical sedan car? (like Toyota Vios?)
    2) Is there water supply up there?
    3) Is there a store there where we can buy some common stuffs?
    4) Is there a need to pre-register?

    Please advise.

    Thank you very much.

    Lino

  2. I really love nature tripping, but I have a PWD child that I don’t want to leave alone behind, I want her to have fun with us wherever I go with my family.
