Igbaw’s overall design is a sight to behold because of its Mediterranean vibe. The place has a good contrast of black and white, which gives off a modern feel. The resto also has what they call “The towers.” The towers are elevated areas in the food place where customers can dine while enjoying the view of the beach and neighboring islets
The resto also sports an open-air concept where diners can feel the cool sea breeze. There are plenty of seats and tables that can accommodate many customers.

Before we head to the food, let’s talk about Igbaw’s quality entertainment in the form of a live band. What sets Igbaw apart from the others is the resto’s band and music choices. From Jazz to modern songs, Igbaw resto and Grill offers a new entertainment experience to diners.
The resto invites different bands from Cebu to play every Friday and Saturday. Not only that, but they also use high-quality equipment that brings justice to the band’s impressive performances.
“People come for the food, but they stay for the band,” the owner expressed as he proudly talked about the quality entertainment Igbaw offers.
Mouth-watering Seafood and Meat Platter, Pochero, and More
And now on to the stars of the show, the mouthwatering foods at Igbaw Grill and Resto.
To describe the food at Igbaw, the word “delicious” is an understatement. They offer an array of food choices, from grilled to soup dishes. We had the chance to try their mouth-watering dishes; here are the best-sellers we’ve tried:
Sizzling Gambas
The sizzling Gambas at Igbaw is lathered in with a sweet and salty sauce. The shrimps were plump and juicy. They bring out a sizzling plate and put the gambas on top. The sound of sizzling was enough to make us want to dig in immediately.
Pochero
The Pochero at Igbaw is one of the highlights of the resto and grill. People from Bantayan literally put effort into going to Igbaw just for the Pochero. The soup was warm and flavorful, and the meat was tender. It was perfect for combating the cold sea breeze.
Boneless Bangus
The boneless bangus was our favorite. It was packed with flavor, and the fish itself was soft; it’s almost like it melted in your mouth. It was fresh and perfect with a spicy soy sauce-calamansi dip.
Seafood and Meat Platter
The affordable seafood and meat platter is already good for six people. It has crabs, scallops, shrimp, stuffed squid, pork belly, chorizo de Cebu, grilled boneless bangus, and a platter of fried rice.
Baked Scallops
Who does not love baked scallops? The scallops at Igbaw were fresh and baked to garlicky and buttery perfection.
Crabs
And lastly, the crabs. Like the Gambas, the crabs drowned in a sweet, salty, and savory sauce. The crab meat sucked in all the flavor from the sauce, and it was heaven in every bite. Do you want a tip? Scoop out all the crab meat, get a bit of sauce, and mix it with the fried rice. Try it out; you’ll thank us later.
Breakfast with a View
The resto also offers breakfast from 6 AM to 10 AM. Breakfast is a must-try at Igbaw, especially when you are given a view of the beach. They offer different local breakfast meals that you will surely love. We got to try their bacon and egg, pusit, and the Cebuano favorite called Danggit. If you love hot drinks in the morning, they also have coffee and hot chocolate to pair with your breakfast.
Igbaw ensures that all their ingredients, especially seafood, are delivered fresh daily.
Margaritas, beers, and more at Igbaw Resto and Grill
What’s even better to pair with grilled food? Beer. Igbaw also offers local beers to customers. That’s not all. They also have margaritas and cocktails available. The resto has a minibar where you can choose your favorite drinks.
A Comfortable and Homey Stay Below at Casa Blanca
Igbaw is located on the roof deck of Casa Blanca. Casa Blanca has available rooms and different services for guests who plan to stay overnight, like a massage. The rooms are clean and homey with their white interior. Each room is equipped with a bed, a TV with cable, and a private bathroom.
