On Tuesday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of January 4, 2022.
The whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and Cebu Province — recorded 33 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 14 new recoveries, and 2 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 104,355, while the active cases increased to 305.

– Total deaths: 1,526 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 122
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,674 (+1 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,200 (+10 new)
– Total deaths: 472 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 2
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 12,146 (+3 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,697 (+0 new)
– Total deaths: 442 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 7
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 37,227 (+7 new)
– Total recoveries: 34,479 (+0 new)
– Total deaths: 2,574 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 174
