On Friday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of September 17, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 284 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 544 new recoveries, and 60 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 98,985, while the active cases increased to 8,347 (from 8,660).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 39,806 (85 new)
– Total recoveries: 35,622 (+106 new)
– Total deaths: 1,261 (+7 new)
– Active cases: 2,923
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,015 (+33 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,466 (+75 new)
– Total deaths: 347 (+15 new)
– Active cases: 1,202
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 11,638 (+23 new)
– Total recoveries: 10,373 (+158 new)
– Total deaths: 350 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1951
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 34,526 (+143 new)
– Total recoveries: 29,181 (+205 new)
– Total deaths: 2,038 (+37 new)
– Active cases: 3,307
