On Thursday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 26, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 733 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 948 new recoveries, and 68 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 89,166, while the active cases dropped to 13,548 (from 13,827).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 36,957 (+230 new)
– Total recoveries: 31,350 (+368 new)
– Total deaths: 1,133 (+7 new)
– Active cases: 4,474
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 11,607 (+76 new)
– Total recoveries: 9,778 (+132 new)
– Total deaths: 306 (+6 new)
– Active cases: 1,523
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 10,497 (+72 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,229 (+76 new)
– Total deaths: 302 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,966
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 30,105 (+355 new)
– Total recoveries: 23,046 (+372 new)
– Total deaths: 1,474 (+53 new)
– Active cases: 5,585
