On Monday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of May 3, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 26 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 211 new recoveries, and 1 new death. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 50,962, while the active cases dropped to 2,535 (from 2,720).

– Total confirmed: 23,496 (+9 new)
– Total recoveries: 21,842 (+48 new)
– Total deaths: 835 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 819
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 6,234 (+5 new)
– Total recoveries: 5,534 (+5 new)
– Total deaths: 159 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 541
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 6,378 (+3 new)
– Total recoveries: 5,771 (+38 new)
– Total deaths: 209 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 398
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 14,854 (+9 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,430 (+120 new)
– Total deaths: 647 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 777
