On Monday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of March 1, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 330 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 291 new recoveries, and 10 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 36,355, while the active cases decreased to 6,074 (from 6,045).
Cebu’s recovery rate is now at 79.05%.
Breakdown of cases:
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 17,692 (+160 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,911 (+84 new)
– Total deaths: 738 (+9 new)
– Active cases: 3,043
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 4,228 (+59 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,220 (+20 new)
– Total deaths: 123 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 885
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 4,171 (+49 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,149 (+31 new)
– Total deaths: 185 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 837
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 10,264 (+62 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,488 (+156 new)
– Total deaths: 467 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 1,309
