On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of February 27, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 262 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 336 new recoveries, and 2 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 35,685, while the active cases decreased to 6,069 (from 6,133).
Cebu’s recovery rate is now at 78.80%.

– Total confirmed: 17,333 (+114 new)

Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 4,137 (+30 new)

Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 4,089 (+32 new)
– Total recoveries: 3,102 (+63 new)
– Total deaths: 183 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 804
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 10,126 (+86 new)
– Total recoveries: 8,245 (+35 new)
– Total deaths: 464 (+2 new)
– Active cases: 1,417
