“PokéPark KANTO”: Trainer Dreamland Come True

PokéPark KANTO is officially confirmed by the Pokémon Company, not as a temporary event, but as a huge, permanent outdoor attraction that fully immerses visitors in the world of Pokémon. It will open on February 5, 2026, inside Yomiuriland, Tokyo’s largest theme park. Guests become real-life Trainers as they explore thematic lands inspired by the franchise, enjoy themed rides, and encounter more than 600 Pokémon presented through shows, costumed mascots, and statues across the park.

The park’s main entrance features a proud welcome from the original Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Once inside, visitors can explore two distinct areas. Pokémon Forest offers a lush trail for spotting various Pokémon, while Sedge Town is the hub for attractions and amenities. Sedge Town includes the “Vee Vee Voyage” carousel, an official Pokémon Center for exclusive merchandise, a Trainer’s Mart for snacks, and the Sedge Gym, which hosts live stage shows, including performances by dancing Pikachus!

Attractions, Parades, and Passes—Oh My!

For the ultimate PokéTrainer experience, consider the Ace Trainer’s Pass. This premium ticket offers extensive access to both Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town, including VIP perks such as priority ride lanes, reserved show seating, exclusive meet-and-greets, and access to super rare merchandise.

Standard General Passes are also available, providing flexible access based on the chosen tier.

Mark your calendars! Early tickets will be distributed via a lottery system beginning November 21, 2025. Get your PokéBank ready, folks!

Why This is a Big Deal

Unlike the temporary PokéPark pop-ups previously seen in Nagoya and Taiwan, this new, permanent playground is dedicated entirely to Pokémon. Tokyo is now securing its place among major global gaming attractions, following Osaka’s Super Nintendo World and the upcoming Minecraft theme parks planned for the US and UK.
