“Nganu gipangita man ko sa mga tawo nga wa man koy giutangan diria!”

This was Bite King’s comeback line after months of being off the grid—and yes, he’s finally back in the kitchen.

The Bisaya chef-influencer known for his witty cooking videos and culinary takes took a break from social media to focus on something serious: preparing for the board exam. While fans speculated about his absence, Bite King was quietly swapping his spatula for pencils and study guides in Manila for four months.

Now back, he’s returning to his usual routine with a heartwarming Filipino classic; monggos. His version? A bowl made with mung beans and a mix of sayote, kalabasa, talong, okra, and pork. He also emphasized the importance of “ASIN” or salt to make sure that the dish will taste as good as it looks.

In true Bite King fashion, he didn’t miss the chance to share a few of the things he did for good luck before the exam, such as:
- Breaking the pencil used during the test
- Wearing red underwear (according to him, he actually did)
- Visiting the Simala Church

Unfortunately, despite his efforts and four months of intense prep, Bite King shared that he didn’t pass the exam. He took a week to grieve the setback, but he’s not one to stay down for long.
Bahalag masipyat kag dako, basta sa tama lang nga butang. Wa may sayang badi basta mubangon lang ka paras imung kaugmaon.
(“It’s okay to make big mistakes, as long as they’re in the right pursuit. Nothing is wasted, bro, as long as you rise again for your future.”)
As someone who continues to aspire and inspire his fans, Bite King’s words resonate to anyone facing failure; reminding us that success isn’t always guaranteed, and it’s okay to pause, regroup, and return stronger.

Welcome back, Bite King!
