On Monday, October 28, 2024, Apple rolled out iOS 18.1, introducing its new AI system called “Apple Intelligence”, for the new iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro models. Alongside this, it also launched software updates for iPad and Mac, bringing Apple Intelligence to those platforms.
This release marks a significant step for the company, as the new AI features play a key rolein promoting the iPhone 16 lineup, which debuted last month.

Apple Intelligence is an artificial intelligence developed by Apple Inc. that unlocks exciting new capabilities that make your iPhone, iPad, and Mac even more helpful and useful, from Writing Tools to help refine your writing, to summarized notifications that surface what’s most important, to the ability to search for almost anything in your photos and videos by simply describing it, and it’s all built on a foundation of privacy with on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute, a groundbreaking new approach that extends the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud to protect users’ information.
SIRI’S ALL GROWN UP! WITH BRAND NEW ABILITIES
Siri now offers a more natural and seamless experience, deeply integrated across Apple devices. It features a fresh design with a glowing light that elegantly traces the edge of the screen when active on iPhone, iPad, or CarPlay. On Mac, users can move Siri anywhere on the desktop for easy access while working.
You can now switch effortlessly between typing and speaking to Siri on iPhone, iPad and Mac, making it more versatile for daily tasks. With improved language processing, Siri can handle speech slips and keep track of ongoing conversations. It also boasts extensive knowledge about Apple products and answering questions on everything from recording your screen to sharing a Wi-Fi password.
