The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) resumed accepting applications for Postal IDs as of October 15, 2024, after a year-long suspension that began on March 9, 2023, due to technical issues. The Postal ID serves as a valid form of identification for various government services, banking, and financial transactions. It is valid for three years for Filipinos and one year for foreigners.

The ID card is made from PVC and contains biometric data to help prevent identity theft. PhilPost outlined the application requirements on their Facebook page.
