The iconic trio graced the 2024 SAG Awards stage together for a brief yet iconic moment to present the award for Male Actor in a Comedy Series. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt gagged everyone in the room with their reunion, humorously referencing the film in a sketch.
Hathaway and Blunt interacted with Streep with the same amount of delicacy, awkwardness, and fear as their characters did, with the two handing Streep the card and her glasses. Streep paused for a while, with Blunt responding with, “By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know that thrills me,” echoing a classic line from the film. 18 years after the film, the on-stage rendezvous truly sparked memories of what it was like to be in the film.
