Fans of the cult classic comedy White Chicks have been buzzing with excitement as Marlon Wayans finally addressed the long-standing rumors about a sequel.

After over two decades of speculation, the possibility of White Chicks 2 seems closer than ever–though nothing is officially set in stone just yet.
Marlon Wayans Teases White Chicks 2
During the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, where The Wayans Family was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Marlon Wayans dropped the bombshell that fans had been waiting for.

Speaking with Good Morning America, he stated: “I think it’s time. Let’s get Scary Movie 6 done, and then we’re gonna go bring out White Chicks 2.”
His statement set the internet ablaze, with fans celebrating what seemed to be an official confirmation.
However, Marlon later walked back the claim in an Instagram post, clarifying that White Chicks 2 is not yet in active development–though he didn’t rule it out for the future.
Will White Chicks 2 Happen?
While an official green light from Sony has yet to happen, all signs point to a sequel being a strong possibility. The original White Chicks, released in 2004, wasn’t a critical darling but became a box office success, raking in over $113 million worldwide.

Over the years, it has cemented its place as a beloved cult comedy, largely due to its over-the-top humor, quotable moments, and the unforgettable performances of Marlon and Shawn Wayans as undercover FBI agents masquerading as white socialites.
Wayans has been vocal about his willingness to return for White Chicks 2, but he has one major condition: advancements in special effects.
In a past interview, he joked that the grueling hours spent in the makeup chair were a deterrent, saying he’d only reprise his role if the transformation could be done digitally. With today’s CGI technology, this might just be a feasible option.
Who’s In? Possible Cast & Crew
If White Chicks 2 moves forward, it’s safe to assume that Marlon and Shawn Wayans would return to their roles as Kevin and Marcus Copeland.

Terry Crews, who played the hilarious Latrell Spencer, has been openly campaigning for a sequel for years, even joking that he and Vanessa Carlton have stayed in touch after A Thousand Miles became an iconic moment in the original film.

Busy Philipps, who portrayed Karen Googlestein, has also expressed interest in reprising her role. Whether the entire supporting cast will return remains uncertain, but with fan demand at an all-time high, there’s no doubt that the film could attract some familiar faces.
What Could the Road Ahead Be?
For now, White Chicks 2 remains in the realm of hopeful speculation, but the fact that Marlon Wayans is discussing it publicly gives fans reason to stay optimistic.

With Scary Movie 6 set for a 2026 release, there’s a chance that White Chicks 2 could enter development shortly after–meaning a possible 2027 premiere.
Whether or not we get to see Brittany and Tiffany Wilson on the big screen again, one thing is certain: the love for White Chicks isn’t fading anytime soon.
Stay tuned for updates as this long-awaited sequel continues to be the talk of Hollywood!
