The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has been recognized as the Best Airport in Asia-Pacific for the 5–15 Million Passengers Per Annum category at the Airports Council International (ACI) World Airport Service Quality Awards.
The announcement was made during the Airport Experience Summit in Guangzhou, China, held from September 8 to 11, 2025. This achievement reinforces Cebu’s reputation as a premier gateway to the Philippines and places MCIA firmly on the global aviation map.

The award underscores the airport’s consistent efforts to elevate passenger experience. From frontline staff to airline partners and concessionaires, MCIA has developed a seamless service environment that reflects both efficiency and the signature warmth of Cebuano hospitality. This steady recovery and expansion also earned MCIA a place at the 2025 Skytrax Awards, where it was ranked the seventh Most Improved Airport in the world.
