February Philippine Festivals to Look Forward to

The month of February promises an exciting lineup across the Philippines, aside from the ever-romantic Valentine’s Day, catering to many festival goers and celebrating our varying cultures.

Here’s what’s in store for the month: 

Art Fair Philippines 2025

  • Dates: 21-23 February 2025
  • Venue: Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati City

The country’s premier showcase of modern and contemporary visual arts, featuring curated exhibitions from top local and international artists, interactive installations, art talks, and opportunities for collectors to acquire unique pieces.

Bicol Arts Festival 

  • Dates: February 2025
  • Location: Legazpi City, Albay 

The event is a celebration of Bicolano heritage through folk art, music, dance performances, indigenous crafts and art exhibits, and a colorful street parade highlighting the region’s rich culture.

Cagsawa Festival 

  • Dates: February 2025
  • Location: Daraga, Albay

A month-long festival commemorating the tragic 1841 Mayon Volcano eruption, featuring cultural performances, art exhibits, culinary showcases, extreme sports competition and heritage tours around the iconic Cagsawa Ruins.

  • Dates: 27 February 2025
  • Location: Masbate 

Celebrating Masbate’s artistic heritage, highlighting local talents in visual arts, music and dance. The festival includes painting exhibits, performances, and hand-on art workshops. 

Manila Gin Festival

  • Dates: 21-22 February 2025 
  • Venue: Manila 

A must event for gin enthusiasts featuring a curated selection of over 45 different brand gins from around the world. And there’s more; mixology classes, cocktail tastings, and gin inspired food pairings are to be expected, too!

Karanowan Fish-Tival 

  • Dates: February 15
  • Venue: Balo, Camarines Sur

In appreciation of the beautiful God-given nature, the Karonawan Fish-tival is a celebration of beauty and bounty of Bato in order to inject and instill the importance of preserving and conserving these natural resources as major sources of food and as potential tourist attractions.

Sunggod Ta KaManga 

  • Dates: February 18-19
  • Venue: Doña Ressing Park, Quezon Bukidnon

Sunggod Ta KaManga is a celebration of Manobo culture. It is a tradition of lumads in preparation of farm activities and farm implements. Live chicken and pigs are sacrificed. Their blood spread on farm tools and asking the Mambabaya (God) for the safety and abundant harvest through rituals.

Patunob Festival 

  • Dates: February 9
  • Venue: Binuangan, Misamis Oriental

A popular religious festival where devotees flock to the shrine of Birhen sa Lourdes to light candles to renew their vows and ask for petition and blessings. Part of the festival are procession, parade, cultural show, and trade fair.

Sibug-Sibug Festival and Founding Anniversary of Zamboanga Sibugay Province

  • Dates: February 18-25
  • Venue: Province of Zamboanga Sibugay 

A weeklong celebration of Sibugaynon is a commemoration of its founding day of the city as a province — Sibug-Sibug festival is celebrated every February with its highlight fixed on February 26. During the event, the streets are decked with colorful buntings and filled with throngs of onlookers waiting for the colorful street dancing, depicting healing and wedding rituals, way of life of indigenous people groups, and themes to communicate advocacies. 

Seafoods Festival 

  • Dates: February 2025
  • Venue: Taguilon, Dapitan City

The festival features the traditional way of cooking Kagang (crab) which will be offered for visitor experience. The event was organized to revive the waning interest and preserve authentic and traditional flavorful dishes where Kagang is the main ingredient.

Mahaguyog Festival

  • Dates: February 27-March 07
  • Venue: Sto. Tomas, Batangas

It is an annual festival every Saturday of February as a prelude to the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the town’s patron saint, as a gesture of gratitude and a way of thanksgiving of the farmers for the bountiful harvest of crops they reaped for the whole year round.

Paraw Regatta

  • Dates: Held every third Sunday of February
  • Venue: Strait between Iloilo and Guimaras Island

The festivity features racing events between local outriggers in the strait between Iloilo and Guimaras island.

Taytay Hamaka

  • Dates: February 10 to 16
  • Venue: Taytay, Rizal

This is a seven day event showcasing the artistry, craftsmanship, and various talents of the people of Taytay.

Tinagba Festival

  • Dates: February 11
  • Venue: Iriga City, Camarines Sur

A tradition of the first harvest offering coinciding with the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Derived from the early rituals of ancient Bicolanos offering their harvest to their own gods as a form of thanksgiving and to seek favor for a more bountiful harvest throughout the year.

International Bamboo Organ Festival

  • Dates: February 20-27
  • Venue: Las Pinas

This is a ten-day series of cultural events with a focus on the unique bamboo-made organ, made by Fray Diego de la Cera, and found only in Las Pinas.

Baguio Flower Festival

  • Dates:  February 2025
  • Venue: Baguio City

This is a relatively “new” event in the country’s summer capital. It’s similar to the Rose Bowl Parade of the U.S., this festival is highlighted by a parade of floats made entirely of fresh blossoms from local horticulturists. 

Ollalion Festival

  • Dates: February 14
  • Venue: Tabuk, Kalinga 

This festival celebrates Kalinga culture through its sports, crafts, and indigenous food. 

Babaylanes Festival

  • Dates: February 19
  • Venue: Bago City, Negros Occidental

This highlights the culture of the first settlers of Bago City before the Spanish colonizers arrived. As defined by Negros historians, the babaylan is a doctor, herbalist, artist, adviser, seer, diviner, and agriculturist. 

Kalilangan Festival

  • Dates: February 20 to 27
  • Venue: General Santos City, South Cotabato 

This features cultural shows, a civic/military, agro-industrial fair, sports competition, and a beauty pageant.
