Get your tickets to 9 ¾ ready, because we’re heading to the Wizarding World—at least not until the year 2027…
Potterheads, it is time to take our wands out of their dusty boxes, because Warner Bros. Discovery, in partnership with Chinese firms, is bringing the world of our favorite witch and wizards to Lingang New Area of Pudong, Shanghai.
We’re Going Home to Hogwarts

The studio tour will be packed with authentic sets, props, costumes, and behind-the-scenes magic from the Harry Potter films. Soon, we’ll be able to walk through Hogwarts corridors, sipping butterbeer, and probably screaming when you see the Great Hall IRL.

While full details haven’t been revealed yet, organizers are saying it’ll offer a deep dive into the world of Harry Potter, much like the London and Tokyo experience. So if you’ve always dreamed of entering Dumbledore’s office or spotting Buckbeak, this will be your chance, and it’s much closer to home!

The Harry Potter Series on HBO
If you haven’t heard about the remake of the world of Harry Potter—in series form—then you’re not too late into the bandwagon.
The Harry Potter series will soon hit HBO, and honestly, we’re beyond excited to dive back into the wizarding world, but this time with a fresh take. The first look at the new Harry, Hermione, and Ron had us squealing since the casting nods to the OG trio, but with a new generation of stars ready to bring Hogwarts back to life.
It is expected that the show will air next year or at the beginning of 2027; which makes it just in time for the Shanghai studio to open its doors.
So, fellow potterheads, we still have time; let’s save up, get that passport ready, and we’ll see you at Hogwarts!
