Cebu City, Philippines – The much-anticipated Savage Ink International Tattoo Convention is back for its third edition, taking place on September 14th and 15th, 2024, at the luxurious Fili Hotel in NUSTAR Resort & Casino. This year’s event promises to be the largest and most impactful yet, combining world-class tattoo artistry with a meaningful cause, cultural preservation, and a boost to local tourism.
Founded and organized by veteran entrepreneurial tattoo artists Ann Savage and Joe Black, who bring over two decades of experience, the convention will host nearly 200 participating artists, including judges and guests from around the globe, including the Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, France, USA, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Italy, and Poland. This event is more than just a showcase of talent; it’s a gathering that unites the local and international tattoo communities, offering attendees a unique opportunity to witness the rich diversity of styles and cultural influences in tattooing today.
Hosting the event is Paul Foster, an entertainment industry veteran with over 2 decades of experience under his belt. A Singaporean of mixed British/Chinese parentage, he started in reality and variety shows as early as 2002 and he has since successfully built a name for himself internationally across the tri-factor as an actor, model, and host. In the tattoo industry, Paul has hosted the Singapore Ink Show since its inaugural year in 2017 and the following year at the Saigon Tattoo Expo in 2018.

The convention is thrilled to announce Dice & K9 (Saturday, September 14), Typecast, and Shvriken (Sunday, September 15) as the main musical acts, ensuring that the atmosphere will be buzzing with energy. These performances coupled with more local acts, will provide the perfect soundtrack to a weekend celebrating creativity and self-expression.
Event with a Purpose
A special highlight of this year’s convention is the inclusion of traditional tattoo artists from the Philippines and Borneo, who will be showcasing their ancestral tattooing practices. These artists will offer a glimpse into the ancient traditions that have been passed down through generations, preserving the cultural heritage of their respective regions.
In addition to celebrating the art of tattooing, Savage Ink 2024 is also dedicated to giving back to the community. The “Tattoo for a Cause” pocket event will raise funds for Everlasting Hope, a Cebu-based charity supporting children with cancer. Attendees will have the chance to get inked by top artists, with proceeds going directly to this noble cause.
