WHAT TO EXPECT?

We are all expecting one thing when we visit MV Doulos Hope: Books, books, and more books. Over 2,000 titles, and over 120,000 books in stock, imagine the chances of finally finding that “one book” that’s been stuck on your list for the past uncountable number of years. With books on so many different topics—either fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, you name it. There is definitely something for you there.

But that’s not all! The ship also features a café offering a variety of snacks, including ice cream, coffee, soft drinks, water, popcorn, and more. Why limit your visit to just exploring the library? Make the most of your entrance fee by roaming around the ship and taking in its beautifully designed interior—one of the many reasons MV Doulos Hope is so popular.

RECENT ARRIVAL IN CEBU

Back in 2011, there was a similar ship, or a sister ship of MV Doulos that arrived in Cebu, called the MV Logos Hope. That floating book fair featured over 5,000 books at affordable prices, covering a wide range of subjects. Visitors praised the selection, finding reference books and novels that were particularly budget-friendly for students. Many even purchased entire book series.

The Logos Hope community consists of 400 volunteers from over 45 countries, all working together to bring knowledge, help, and hope to people worldwide. Primarily composed of young individuals, these volunteers dedicate two years of their lives to living and working on board the ship. They learn to collaborate effectively while serving the communities at each port they visit.

Take note and float mga Sugboanong book addicts. Pagtigom na while it’s still on the way here. Visit anytime around October 14 to November 12.
