Fil-Am Actress, Vanessa Hudgens, Won “The Masked Singer” Season 11 Finale!

And she performed while pregnant in a full goldfish costume, too!

The Masked Singer is a FOX singing competition where celebrities perform anonymously by wearing mascot costumes all throughout a performance.

The competition’s season 11 finale was held last week where Vanessa Hudgens performed as “Goldfish” snagged a triumphant win. The 35-year old actress and singer told Entertainment Tonight how she enjoyed her time with the show, “It was definitely quite the ride. A ride I did not think would affect me so deeply.”

Dancing & Singing With A Baby Bump

The Disney star and Broadway performer showcased her talents on The Masked Singer stage in a full costume while pregnant with her first child to husband, Cole Tucker. Imagine being in a goldfish costume as you sing and dance on stage for a competition? Hats off to this mom Wildcat!

“I’ve been in the spotlight for many, many moons now, and there’s just a preconceived idea, I think, when you see yourself on stage, that you’re familiar with. And being able to take that away and be completely stripped of that and show up as myself and feel completely free to do so, because I was completely covered up really just gave me a sense of freedom that I hadn’t had in a minute. And it was really empowering,” said Vanessa.

In her final performance as “Goldfish,” Vanessa sang and danced to the song of Elton John, “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” The runner for the 11th season was Scott Porter who performed as “Gumball” to the song “Renegade” by Styx. Prior to the finale, both Vanessa and Scott were hailed winners in 14 different unmasking rounds in the entire season; proving their versatility as performers.

Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat!

Vanessa Hudgens played Gabriella Montes in the Disney hit trilogy, “High School Musical.” And just recently, following her win, Lucas Grabeel, the actor who played the role of Ryan Evans, shared on social media a song he wrote for the HSM fans and crew entitled, “You Were My Childhood.” The song featured lyrics inspired by the HSM soundtrack such as “I finally found what I’ve been looking for,” “you helped me reach for the stars,” “You made me believe you are the music in me,” and “the buzzer hits with us, breaking free in red, white, and gold; we’ll never grow old.”

The tear-jerking song was paired with never before seen photos of the HSM cast that Lucas kept in his archives. Monique Coleman, Bart Johnson, Kayc Stroh, and even Disney commented on the Instagram reel of the actor.

Years ago, Vanessa and the HSM cast had a reunion, showing their unending friendship over decades from their time as child actors of Disney; keeping up to the slogan of “Once a Wildcat, ALWAYS a Wildcat!”
