“911, what is your emergency?”
There’s a common frustration in Cebu: the lack of a quick, unified emergency hotline. Every emergency hotline in Cebu City has individual cellphone and telephone numbers for each police station and hospital around the city. Instead of speed dialing one simple number, residents have had to memorize them all. In an emergency, that’s a major hassle—every second counts, and there’s no time to waste fumbling for the right number.
Well, good news! Cebu City announced that 911 Emergency Hotline is now ACTIVATED. Any emergency is accepted. You no longer need to dial a long 11-digit number—just press 9-1-1, easy to remember and available for both cellphones and landlines.
No load? No problem! You can still make the call, because emergencies shouldn’t wait for a trip to the store aron magpaload.
