LIST: Fiber Plans available in the Philippines (2022)

For the past decade, the need for having a fast internet connection has slowly grown.

As we entered the year 2020, the demand for internet went through the roof with work-from-home arrangements becoming the norm due to the pandemic. This has opened a new idea for more flexible work arrangements for the future with internet connection being at the center of it all.

The internet has etched itself so deep into our lives that, just like water, food, and electricity, it has become one of this generation’s basic necessities.

Since every form of transaction and business is slowly migrating into the digital space, a practical move would be to subscribe to fast, reliable, and, if possible, affordable plans. From doing online and cashless payments for online shopping and online classes.

One of the most heated debates regarding internet connection is the choice between DSL and Fiber. In terms of speed, DSL only reaches up to a measly 15 mbps while Fiber can go as fast as 1,000 Mbps (1 Gbps) which is more than 100x faster. Clearly, Fiber is vastly superior over DSL but its greatest downside is its availability.

Infrastructures still need to be laid down first before connections can be made in an area and there are areas in the country that are just too far for installations.

With that, we have made a list of all available Fiber plans in the country and corresponding reasons and conditions to apply for a certain plan.

  1. If you want a reliable internet service provider, I suggest using Streamtech fiber internet. It is the newest wave fiber internet in the Philippines. It is a reliable internet with unlimited internet connection. You may visit their website for more info at www.streamtech.com.ph

  2. Politicians don’t understand that the internet is kind of a tome of knowledge as it is the fastest way to get information. I guess a person in politics need the people to be dumb and strive hard to attain knowledge or to get the simple contact information on government department.

  3. Most of these price offer are in wireless connection as it is easy for the ISPs to give a simple alibis that the problem to slow internet or low bandwidth is a bad weather or not enough signal strength.

  4. the allocation of upload speed on smartphones are higher than the wired connection DSL lines and the download speed is slower than WIRED CONNECTION so that’s how it is played in our country…

  5. Prices may be true to some part of philippines especially NCR (the rest is shit)but service is still a joke they shave your bandwidth and the upload and download is not equal, not to mention that it is capped. As you can see there is not much of a comment cause internet is expensive. Yes smartphones are available but the internet side is a shitty back water. 90% of the people can’t upload/share internet worthy information as its as slow as fuck.

  6. Those prices are not reflected to other regions. other regions are still in DSL Line 15Mbps download and 800kbps upload. Monthly payment is 3000PHP
