Up for an unusual food?
How about some exotic fresh seafood without hurting your pocket? For as low as ₱30, you can finally try the viral dish in Cordova, at Entoy’s Bakasihan. And yes, this carenderia had been recently featured in one of the recognized series in Netflix.
Netflix’s Street Food Asia series featured the historical sea food eatery few months ago, also documenting the story of the owner, Florencio “Entoy” Escabas. Their specialty dish is the Linarang Bakasi (Sour Stew with Reef Eels), which is a perfectly-cooked eel sautéed in soy sauce, green mangoes, fermented black beans, and soured with tamarind and other secret spices.
Entoy’s Bakasihan is probably the oldest and most famous restaurant serving bakasi in town as the area is abundant with reef eels because the sea’s tidal flats are mostly grassy and muddy which are conducive to the eel’s sustenance.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact location: Kampay Beachv, Barangay Buagsong, Cordova, Northern Cebu — 1-2 hours away from Cebu City, approx. 45 minutes from Mactan Airport.
BY VAN: From the SM City, ride a V-hire. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Gaisano Cordova Mall. Fare is ₱30 (one way). From the Gaisano Cordova Mall, you can either take a habal-habal (motorcycle) going to Entoy’s Bakasihan or if you can take the tricycle or trisikad. Fare is ₱20-50 (one way).
BY CAR: If you’re driving your own car, just navigate with Waze or Google Maps and pin your location to “Entoy’s Bakasihan, Buagsong, Cordova, Cebu” or refer to the map below. Parking space is available.
