More Than Just a Waterfall

Despite its name, Cancalanog Falls is better described as a natural swimming hole along the Cangcalanog River, which forms part of the same river system as Kawasan Falls. Instead of a towering cascade, visitors are welcomed by a calm river with small natural and man-made cascades flowing into a deep turquoise basin. The area is surrounded by lush vegetation, making it an ideal place for swimming, relaxing, or simply enjoying the fresh mountain air.

A Favorite for Cliff Jumping and Swimming

The deep pool is the main attraction of Cancalanog Falls. Visitors can take a refreshing swim or try cliff jumping from different heights around the basin, although checking the water depth first is always recommended. Local residents who frequent the area often know the safest jumping spots. Even after Typhoon Odette damaged some of its facilities, the river has remained one of Alegria’s most refreshing outdoor destinations.

Entrance Fee and Visitor Information

The entrance fee is ₱20 per person, price upon writing. Basic local facilities are available near the entrance, but visitors are encouraged to bring drinking water and snacks, especially during weekdays when fewer vendors are present. Wearing sandals or shoes with good grip is also recommended since some paths can become slippery.
