33 Cases Daily
The DOH reported an average of 33 new HIV cases per day during the quarter, down 35 percent from the previous reporting period. The agency said sexual contact remained the leading mode of transmission.
NCR Records Most Cases
The National Capital Region reported the highest number with 567 cases. It was followed by Calabarzon with 338, Central Luzon with 280, Soccsksargen with 235, and Western Visayas with 189.
