How to Get There?
Location: Barangay Poblacion, Alcantara, Cebu, Philippines
By Car: If you are driving from Cebu City, take Natalio Bacalso Avenue (South Road) and continue towards Carcar, then follow the route through Barili, Dumanjug, and finally Alcantara. The drive usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. Upon reaching Alcantara town proper, head towards the public market where Kugtong Spring is located just beside the main road, making it an easy stop without needing a long walk or hike.
By Commute: From Cebu City, go to the Cebu South Bus Terminal and ride a bus bound for Bato via Barili. Inform the conductor that you will be getting off at Alcantara Public Market or the town proper. The trip usually takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, Kugtong Spring is only a short walk from the market and is easy to spot because of the large giant grouper statue near the entrance.
