Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, but one question remains: Does it have a visible crease? The company says its 7.6-inch inner display uses a nano-textured finish designed to reduce glare and reflections while minimizing the appearance of the crease. But that does not mean the fold line is completely gone.
The Crease Is Still There
Apple does not claim that the display is entirely crease-free. Instead, the company uses a specially designed display, protective layers and a precision hinge to make the folding area less noticeable. How visible it is may still depend on lighting and viewing angle.
Built To Handle Repeated Folding
The display also uses high-strength glass, custom adhesives and additional protective layers designed to reduce stress when the phone is opened and closed. Its hinge contains more than 100 components to support the center of the screen and maintain a smooth folding motion.
Is It Worth The Price?
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 (₱125,357.29) in the United States. With its large 7.6-inch display and foldable design, Apple is clearly aiming for a premium experience, but whether its crease is truly less distracting will be something users can judge once the phone is in their hands.
