National ID services go 24 hours in Cebu this week

Need to register for the National ID but cannot make it during regular government office hours? Cebu residents have a limited window to process National ID-related transactions around the clock this week. The Philippine Statistics Authority Cebu Provincial Statistical Office is extending its services through an overnight shift at a Cebu City government service hub. Here’s what you need to know before heading out.

24-hour Service For Six Days

The PSA Cebu Provincial Statistical Office will provide 24-hour National ID services from Sept. 21 to 26, 2026 at the Cebu City 24/7 Government Services Hub. An additional shift will operate from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. to keep the National ID services running overnight. The extended schedule applies only during the six-day period.

Several National ID Transactions Available

The temporary round-the-clock service covers several types of National ID concerns. Residents can visit the site for registration, demographic information updates or corrections, and other assistance related to their PhilSys records.

Available services include:

• National ID registration

• Updating or correcting demographic information

• Issuance of the National ID in paper format or ePhilID

• Retrieval of Transaction Reference Number (TRN)

• Assistance with other National ID concerns

Head to Cebu Exchange Tower

The service is being offered at the 2nd floor of Cebu Exchange Tower along Salinas Drive in Lahug, Cebu City. The building is located across Cebu IT Park, making it accessible to residents working or staying around the Lahug and IT Park areas.

First Come First Served

The extended National ID service will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Those planning to visit are advised to prepare the valid supporting documents required for their specific transaction before going to the service hub.

Different National ID transactions may require different supporting documents. Residents can check the official list of accepted documents through the PhilSys website before visiting to avoid delays or an unsuccessful transaction.

Only Available Until Sept. 26

The 24-hour arrangement is a temporary schedule and will only run from Sept. 21 to 26, 2026. Those who need National ID registration, updates, ePhilID issuance or other PhilSys assistance can use the overnight schedule during this period, particularly those who cannot visit during the daytime.
