How to Get There?

Location: Along barangay Duyan Rd, Sakatun, Catmon, Cebu.

By Car: From Cebu City, drive north via the Cebu-Bogo Highway toward Catmon (about 57 km, roughly 1.5 hours). Traffic can slow the journey, so leaving before sunrise is recommended. Watch for a left turn with a sign for Esoy Hot Spring in Barangay Duyan—look for a large white gate with information painted on it. From there, park near the hot spring and follow the short trail to the hanging bridge and onward to the falls.

By Commute: Take a bus or van bound for Catmon from Cebu City’s South or North Bus Terminals. Ask the driver to drop you at Barangay Duyan near Esoy Hot Spring. From there, a short tricycle ride or 10-minute walk leads to the start of the trail.

Tinubdan Falls: Cascading Pools Hidden in the Jungle

Tinubdan Falls is a falls with multiple flowing falls into a natural swimming pool. Unlike more accessible waterfalls in southern Cebu, Tinubdan requires a bit more exploration, which keeps it peaceful and largely free of crowds. Turn into Barangay Tabili from the highway and follow local signs or ask residents for the trailhead. The final stretch may require careful driving on narrower roads, so proceed slowly. Parking is available near the entrance before starting the trek.

By Commute: Take a Catmon-bound bus or van from Cebu City and ask to be dropped at Barangay Tabili. From there, hire a local habal-habal or tricycle to reach the falls’ trailhead. A short hike through the jungle leads to the cascading pools.
