Sharing files between Samsung and Apple devices just got a lot easier. The Galaxy S26 series now supports AirDrop through Quick Share, allowing users to send photos, videos, and documents to iPhones, iPads, and Macs without third-party apps. Find out how this update works and where it’s available.
Quick Share Gets Apple-Friendly

Samsung’s Quick Share has long allowed Galaxy devices to share files with each other seamlessly. With the latest update, it now works with Apple devices. Users only need to enable the “Share with Apple devices” toggle in Quick Share settings to start sending files.
Simple Steps to Share

Sending a file from your Galaxy S26 to an iPhone is straightforward. Open Quick Share, choose the file, and make sure “Share with Apple devices” is turned on. The iPhone recipient should set AirDrop visibility to “Everyone.” Files will transfer quickly, just like standard AirDrop between Apple devices.
No Third-Party Apps Needed

Before this update, sharing files from Samsung to iPhone required workarounds like email, cloud services, or messaging apps. Now, Galaxy and Apple users can exchange content directly, making it faster and more convenient for work, school, or personal use.
Where and When

The feature started rolling out in Korea and the US, and Samsung plans to expand it to Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. Initially, it’s limited to the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, but the company will bring it to more devices in the future.
Update Your Device

To use the new AirDrop support, Galaxy S26 owners must update to One UI 8.5 with build number 1AZCF. Go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates to download and install the update. After that, Quick Share will detect Apple devices automatically once both parties set visibility to “Everyone.”
Seamless Interoperability

This update makes Samsung and Apple devices more interoperable than ever. Photos, videos, and documents can now move across platforms without needing extra apps. Users can finally enjoy a smoother, faster sharing experience between their Galaxy phones and iPhones.
