Additional Discovery: The Hilltop Chapel
Near Igotan Cave is a small chapel perched atop a hill. Reaching it requires climbing 265 steps, offering another challenge for adventurous visitors and a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
When to Visit
The falls outside are best seen during the rainy season when water flow is stronger. The inner cave waterfall maintains a steady stream year-round. Weekdays are quieter, while weekends may see more local visitors.
How to Get There?
Location: Sitio Igotan, Barangay Jaclupan, Talisay City, Cebu
By Car: Drive south to Tabunok Public Market. Drop off near the bridge over the Mananga River, which is the main access to the cave. From the bridge, it’s a short trek to the entrance, where locals can guide you the rest of the way.
By Commute: From Tabunok Public Market, look for multicabs bound for Jaclupan and tell the driver to drop you at the Casia corner (eskina sa Casia). Fare is around ₱9 per person. From there, ask locals for directions to Igotan Cave, it’s only about 300 meters away. Walking via the bridge instead of the river is recommended for better views of the area.
